Appointments for sterilization of stray animals can be made online at centers established by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality; current and past appointment information can also be viewed.

Before making an appointment, it is necessary to carefully review the explanations regarding the scope of services and pre-operative preparation conditions. The suitability of the animal for surgery is determined by the veterinarian's assessment.

For information about notifications and services related to stray animals requiring urgent intervention, you can contact the ALO 153 Communication Center.

Animal hospitals, clinics, and shelters provide veterinary health services tailored to the needs of stray animals. Treatment, surgical interventions, and care processes are planned based on veterinary assessment.

Efforts are made to develop facilities to provide safe shelter, care, and improved living conditions for stray animals. Coordination with district municipalities and regional service planning are an important part of these efforts.

We support the process of finding suitable and permanent homes for animals in shelters. During the adoption process, information is provided about the animal's needs, care responsibilities, and registration procedures.

Notifications regarding injured or stray animals requiring urgent veterinary intervention are evaluated, and the appropriate intervention and transport process is planned. It is important to share clear address, location, and information about the animal's condition in the notifications.

The aim is to increase access to sterilization services through mobile activities carried out in coordination with district municipalities. Locations and dates of the activities are determined according to the service program.

By evaluating food sources suitable for animal nutrition and converting them into animal feed, we contribute to the efficient use of resources and meeting the nutritional needs of stray animals.

In coordination with relevant institutions, efforts are made to evacuate animals, transport them safely, provide veterinary intervention, and offer temporary care during fires, earthquakes, and other disasters.

In line with the approach that human, animal and environmental health are interconnected, studies are carried out to improve preventive veterinary medicine, hygiene, animal welfare and environmental sustainability, and inter-institutional cooperation is supported.
